Found a real gem at America’s Best Value Inn in Groves, TX. The owner and staff took great care of me. After a long day, I jumped into their spotless pool, so refreshing! The location is close to great restaurants. Walmart and H.E. B. The vending machines had the best prices. Never ran out of ice, which was nice. The room was small, but it was clean and recently refurbished. no insect issues at all. The tiny shower stall was a bit tough to use but manageable. They had a waffle machine that made Texas-shaped waffles. they were delicious, even if the breakfast selection was limited. The coffee shipped in from Louisiana was one of my favorites. Overall, a solid place for the price, but shower size could use improvement.

The atmosphere around the hotel felt unsafe with many people loitering, which contributed to our discomfort. The only consolation was the snack menu, but facing a lack of basic hospitality made the experience disappointing.

The location is fantastic, right at the corner of a major highway intersection, making it easy to access various local attractions. I appreciate being near numerous eateries and shopping centers, so dining out is super convenient for families. Meanwhile, the staff's warm hospitality made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.

Had a decent time here. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast with those tasty waffles was a nice surprise! The AC worked like a charm, keeping the room cool. Just wish the noise from the street wasn't so loud at night. A little more cleanliness wouldn’t hurt, but it wasn't too bad.
